The sailing club's Junior Sail Training section runs courses each year for sailors between the ages of 8 and 16 using our fleet of sailing dinghies.

Sail training takes place at Stoneworks quay, there is no parking on site. It is also dangerous to park on Tredenham Road near the lane down to Stoneworks. Although permitted under the Waiting Restrictions it is a very dangerous bend and crossing to the footpath opposite makes it even move dangerous if vehicles are parked in the area. Parking with your wheels on the pavement is a NO NO and makes it even worse as pedestrians will need to walk in the road to get round. Please use hazard lights when loading or unloading. It is recommended to park on Buckeys lane and there is a footpath that leads to the Tredenham Road opposite the lane leading down to Stoneworks. Please take care when crossing Tredenham road due to the proximity to a blind bend.

RYA Training Centre Status Our recognition as a RYA Training Centre means we're inspected annually to ensure that we maintain high standards of tuition, equipment and safety. Sailors are taught by qualified RYA Dinghy Instructors to the standards required by the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme. Our centre principle is Bob Hindmarsh and full details of RYA recognition can be found on the RYA website.
